Reconstruction of the
Etchilhampton 17-07-2020 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing to the right.

3. Construct the inscribed circle of hexagon 2.

4. Construct a "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the upper intersections of circles 1 and 3 and the vertical centerline.

5. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 4.

6. Copy circle 4 to its own lower intersection with the vertical centerline.

7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 6 at the lower side.

8. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 7 and the vertical centerline, tangent to circle 1 at the upper side.

9. Copy circle 8 to the center of circle 1.

10. Construct a circle concentric to circle 8, tangent to circle 5 at the upper side.

11. Copy circle 10 to the center of circle 1.

12. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 7, pointing up.

13. Construct a circle centered at the righthand angular point of hexagon 2, passing through the top of hexagon 12.

14. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 13 at the lefthand side.

15. Construct a circle centered at the righthand intersection of circle 14 and the horizontal centerline, passing through the top of hexagon 12.

16. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 3, pointing to the right.

17. Construct a circle centered at the upper righthand angular point of hexagon 16, passing through the top of hexagon 12.

18. Copy circle 13 five times, to the other angular points of hexagon 2.

19. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 14, pointing to the right.

20. Copy circle 15 five times, to the other angular points of hexagon 19.

21. Copy circle 17 five times, to the other angular points of hexagon 16.

22. Circles 1, 3, 5, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, and 21, are used for the final reconstruction.

23. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.
