Reconstruction of the Hackpen Hill (3) 29-07-2018 formation
1. | Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.
2. | Construct the inscribed octagon (regular 8-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up.
3. | Construct a circle centered at the righthand angular point of octagon 2, passing through the top.
4. | Copy circle 3 seven times, to the other angular points of octagon 2.
5. | Construct a circle, passing through the center of circle 1, tangent to circle 3 and the lefthand circle 4, both at the upper near sides.
6. | Copy circle 5 to the center of circle 1.
7. | Construct a circle centered at the top of octagon 2, tangent to circle 5 at the upper side.
8. | Copy circle 7 to the center of circle 1.
9. | Construct the "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the center of circle 1 and the upper intersection of the lower lefthand and righthand circles 4.
10. | Copy circle 9 to the center of circle 1.
11. | Construct the "two-points" circle between the center of circle 1, and the upper intersection of the lower and lower righthand circles 4.
12. | Copy circle 11 to the center of circle 1.
13. | Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of the lower lefthand and righthand circles 4, tangent to circle 5 at the upper side.
14. | Copy circle 13 to the center of circle 1.
15. | Construct the "two-points" circle between the center of circle 1 and the upper intersection of circle 8 and the vertical centerline.
16. | Copy circle 15 to the center of circle 1.
17. | Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 16 and the vertical centerline, tangent to circle 14 at the upper side.
18. | Copy circle 17 to the top of octagon 2.
19. | Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 18 at the upper side.
20. | Construct the inscribed regular 58-sided polygon of circle 6, pointing up.
21. | Draw the fifty-eight rays of circle 6, to the angular points of polygon 20.
22. | Remove all parts from circles 6 and 8, and lines 21, such that the shown pattern remains.
23. | Construct the inscribed regular 42-sided polygon of circle 10, pointing up.
24. | Draw the forty-two rays of circle 10, to the angular points of polygon 23.
25. | Remove all parts from circles 10 and 12, and lines 24, such that the shown pattern remains.
26. | Construct the inscribed regular 30-sided polygon of circle 14, pointing up.
27. | Draw the thirty rays of circle 14, to the angular points of polygon 26.
28. | Remove all parts from circles 14 and 16, and lines 27, such that the shown pattern remains.
29. | Circles 3, 4, and 19, and patterns 22, 25, and 28, are used for the final reconstruction.
