Reconstruction of the
Whitefield Hill 3-08-2010 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Copy circle 1 two times, the first to its own righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline, the second to the corresponding intersection of the first.

3. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to the rightmost circle 2 at the righthand side.

4. Copy circle 1 to the righthand intersection of circle 3 and the horizontal centerline.

5. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 4 at the righthand side.

6. Copy circle 1 to the righthand intersection of circle 5 and the horizontal centerline.

7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 6 at the righthand side.

8. Copy circle 3 to its own righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

9. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 8 at the righthand side.

10. Copy circle 5 to its own righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

11. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 10 at the righthand side.

12. Copy circle 3 to the righthand intersection of circle 11 and the horizontal centerline.

13. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 12 at the righthand side.

14. Copy circle 3 six times, the first to the righthand intersection of circle 8 and the horizontal centerline, the succeeding circles to the corresponding intersections of the preceding ones.

15. Copy circle 5 to the righthand intersection of the rightmost circle 14 and the horizontal centerline.

16. Copy circle 3 to the righthand intersection of circle 15 and the horizontal centerline.

17. Copy circles 15 and 16 as a whole two times, from the center of circle 15, the first set to the righthand intersection of circle 16 and the horizontal centerline, the next set to the corresponding intersection of the preceding set.

18. Copy circle 7 to the righthand intersection of the rightmost circle 17 and the horizontal centerline.

19. Copy circle 5 to the righthand intersection of circle 18 and the horizontal centerline.

20. Copy circles 18 and 19 as a whole four times, from the center of circle 18, the first set to the righthand intersection of circle 19 and the horizontal centerline, the succeeding sets to the corresponding intersections of the preceding sets.

21. Copy circle 9 to the righthand intersection of the rightmost circle 20 and the horizontal centerline.

22. Copy circle 5 to the righthand intersection of circle 21 and the horizontal centerline.

23. Copy circles 21 and 22 as a whole two times, from the center of circle 21, the first set to the righthand intersection of circle 22 and the horizontal centerline, the next set to the corresponding intersection of the preceding set.

24. Copy circle 11 to the righthand intersection of the rightmost circle 23 and the horizontal centerline.

25. Copy circle 5 to the righthand intersection of circle 24 and the horizontal centerline.

26. Copy circles 24 and 25 as a whole, from the center of circle 24 to the righthand intersection of circle 25 and the horizontal centerline.

27. Copy circle 13 to the righthand intersection of the rightmost circle 26 and the horizontal centerline.

28. Construct a "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the lefthand intersection of circle 8 and the righthand intersection of circle 27, both with the horizontal centerline.

29. Copy circle 28 to the center of circle 3.

30. Copy circles 8, and 14 through 27 as a whole, from the righthand intersection of circle 28 and the horizontal centerline to the corresponding intersection of circle 29.

31. Construct the circumscribed square of circle 29, sides horizontal and vertical.

32. Construct thirty-four parallel, vertical lines, passing through the centers of all circles 30, extending to the upper and lower sides of square 31.

33. Copy circle 7 to the intersection of the righthand side of square 31 and the horizontal centerline.

34. Copy circle 5 two times, the first to the righthand intersection of circle 33 and the horizontal centerline, the next to the corresponding intersection of the first.

35. Copy circle 3 to the righthand intersection of the rightmost circle 34 and the horizontal centerline.

36. Copy circle 5 three times, the first to the righthand intersection of circle 35 and the horizontal centerline, the succeeding ones to the corresponding intersections of the preceding ones.

37. Copy circle 5 two times, the first to the righthand intersection of the rightmost circle 36 and the horizontal centerline, the next to the corresponding intersection of the first.

38. Copy circle 7 two times, the first to the righthand intersection of the rightmost circle 37 and the horizontal centerline, the next to the corresponding intersection of the first.

39. Construct five circles concentric to circle 29, four passing through the centers of circles 37 and 38, one tangent to the rightmost circle 38 at the righthand side. See detail.

40. Construct the five circumscribed squares of circles 39, sides horizontal and vertical. See detail.

41. Draw the two diagonals of the outer square 40.

42. Construct the five circumscribed squares of circles 39, sides at an angle of 45° with respect to the horizontal centerline. See detail.

43. Construct a help-circle concentric to circle 29, passing through the center of the rightmost circle 36, and construct the circumscribed square of this circle, sides horizontal and vertical. See detail.

44. Construct five parallel, vertical lines, passing through the centers of the other circles 36 and of circles 34 and 35, extending to the upper and lower sides of square 43. See detail.

45. Extend the righthand side of square 31 up to the horizontal upper and lower sides of square 43.

46. Copy circle 5 two times, the first to the center of circle 33, the second to the lefthand intersection of the first with the horizontal centerline.

47. Construct two parallel, vertical lines, tangent to circles 46 at the lefthand sides, extending to the upper and lower sides of square 43. See detail.

48. Copy lines 44, 45 and 47 as a whole three times, to the corresponding positions and directions, relative to the other sides of square 43, as shown.

49. Construct four circles centered at the righthand angular point of the inner square 42, tangent to the righthand sides of the other four squares 42.

50. Copy circles 49 seven times, to the corresponding angular points of squares 40 and 42.

51. Construct two horizontal, connecting lines between the intersections of the lefthand and righthand sides of the outer square 40 and the inner square 42, as shown.

52. Construct a circle, passing through the intersections of lines 51 with the sixth line 32 from the left and with the third from the right.

53. Construct a "two-points" circle between the intersections of the horizontal centerline with the fourth line 32 from the left and with the lefthand side of inner square 40. See detail.

54. Construct twenty-eight circles concentric to circle 53, passing through subsequent upper intersections of lines 32 and circle 52. See detail.

55. Squares 31, 40, 42 and 43, lines 32, 44, 45, 47 and 48, and circles 49, 50 and 54, are used for the final reconstruction.

56. Remove all parts not present within the formation itself.
