Reconstruction of the
Bishop Cannings 24-05-2009 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing to the right.

3. Create a "Flower-of-life" pattern, by copying circle 1 six times, to the angular points of hexagon 2.

4. Construct a second inscribed hexagon of circle 1, pointing up.

5. Construct the circumscribed dodecagon (regular 12-sided polygon) of circle 1, the midpoint of one side coincident with the righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

6. Construct the circumscribed circle of dodecagon 5.

7. Copy circle 6 six times, to the angular points of hexagon 4.

8. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the upper intersection of rightmost circle 3 and upper lefthand circle 7.

9. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the upper intersection of upper lefthand and upper righthand circles 7.

10. Copy circle 9 to the rightmost angular point of hexagon 2.

11. Construct a circle centered at the leftmost angular point of hexagon 2, tangent to circle 10 at the lefthand side.

12. Copy circle 10 eleven times, to the other angular points of hexagon 2 and all angular points of hexagon 4.

13. Copy circle 11 eleven times, to the other angular points of hexagon 2 and all angular points of hexagon 4.

14. Circles 1, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 are used in the final steps.

15. Remove all redundant parts not visible within the formation itself.
