Reconstruction of the
Hat Gate Cottage 11-07-2007 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Copy circle 1 to its righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

3. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 1 and the vertical centerline, tangent to circle 2 at the upper lefthand side.

4. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circles 1 and 2, tangent to circle 3 at the righthand side.

(Notice, that these first steps are identical to the first steps of the reconstruction of the Hailey Wood of 16-07-2007!)

5. Construct a circle concentric to circle 3, tangent to circle 4 at the lower righthand side.

(This step also appears in the reconstruction of the Hailey Wood formation, as step 20).

6. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 5 at the upper side.

7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 2, passing through the lower intersection of circle 3 and the vertical centerline.

8. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 7 at the righthand side.

9. Copy circle 5 to the righthand intersection of circle 8 and the horizontal centerline.

10. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 9 at the righthand side.

11. Construct a circle concentric to circle 9, tangent to circle 6 at the righthand side.

12. Copy circle 11 to the righthand intersection of circle 10 and the horizontal centerline.

13. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 12 at the righthand side.

14. (Steps 14 through 25 are repetitions of steps 9, 10, 12 and 13).

Copy circle 5.

15. Circle concentric to circle 1.

16. Copy circle 11.

17. Circle concentric to circle 1.

18. Copy circle 5.

19. Circle concentric to circle 1.

20. Copy circle 11.

21. Circle concentric to circle 1.

22. Copy circle 5.

23. Circle concentric to circle 1.

24. Copy circle 11.

25. Circle concentric to circle 1.

26. Copy circle 11 to the center of circle 1.

27. Construct the inscribed hexagram of circle 26, by constructing two inscribed equilateral triangles, one pointing to the left, one to the right.

28. Extend all sides of hexagram 27 in both directions up to circle 23.

29. Circles 1, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23 and 25, and lines 28 are used for the final reconstruction.

30. Remove everything not present in the formation itself.
