Reconstruction of the
East Kennett 24-07-2005 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Copy circle 1 to its upper intersection with the vertical centerline, and move this circle to its own corresponding intersection.

3. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 2 at the upper side.

4. Copy circle 1 to the upper intersection of circle 2 and the vertical centerline, and move this circle to its own corresponding intersection.

5. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 4 at the upper side.

6. Construct the circumscribed equilateral triangle of circle 5, pointing up.

7. Construct the circumscribed circle of triangle 6.

8. Construct a circle centered at the lower intersection of circle 5 and the vertical centerline, tangent to circle 3 at the lower side.

9. Copy circle 8 to the righthand intersection of circle 7 and the horizontal centerline.

10. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 9 at the righthand side.

11. Construct the circumscribed equilateral triangle of circle 7, pointing up.

12. Construct the circumscribed circle of triangle 11.

13. Construct the circumscribed equilateral triangle of circle 12, pointing to the right.

14. Copy circle 8 four times, the first to the righthand angular point of triangle 13, the second to the righthand intersection of the first and the horizontal centerline, the next to the corresponding intersection of the second, and so on.

15. Construct four circles concentric to circle 1, each tangent to a successive circle 14, all at the righthand sides.

16. Copy circle 8 to the righthand intersection of the rightmost circle 14 and the horizontal centerline.

17. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 16 at the righthand side.

18. Copy circle 7 to the righthand intersection of circle 12 and the horizontal centerline.

19. Construct an equilateral triangle, centered (the center of its inscribed circle) at the center of circle 1, pointing to the left, the opposite side tangent to circle 18 at the righthand side, as shown.

20. Construct the circumscribed circle of triangle 19.

21. Copy circle 17 to its upper intersection with the vertical centerline.

22. Draw a line from the center of circle 1 to the righthand intersection of circles 17 and 21 (the angle between this line and the — righthand — horizontal centerline is 30°).

23. Copy circle 1 to the righthand intersection of the outermost circle 15 and the horizontal centerline.

24. Draw a line, tangent to circles 1 and 23, both at the upper sides.

25. Copy circle 1 to the intersection of the outermost circle 15 and line 22.

26. Draw a line, tangent to circles 1 and 25, both at the lower righthand sides.

27. Copy circles 3 and 5 as one set to the center of circle 23.

28. Draw two parallel lines, tangent to circles 3 and 5, and to circles 27, all at the upper sides.

29. Copy circles 3 and 5 as one set to the center of circle 25.

30. Draw two parallel lines, tangent to circles 3 and 5, and to circles 29, all at the lower righthand sides.

31. Construct two circles, concentric to circles 23 and 25, respectively, passing through each other's center, as shown.

32. Draw a line from the center of circle 1 to the righthand intersection of circles 31 (this line is the bisector of the angle mentioned in step 22; the angle between this line and the — righthand — horizontal centerline is 15°).

33. Copy circles 1 and 3 as one set to the intersection of the innermost circle 15 and line 32.

34. Draw four parallel lines, tangent to circles 1 and 3, and to circles 33, all at both sides, as shown.

35. Create one pattern similar to the ones present within the formation, by removing all superfluous parts from circles 10, 12 and 15, and lines 24, 26, 28, 30 and 34, as shown.

36. Copy pattern 35 eleven times, and distribute the patterns (twelve in total) evenly around the common center, as shown (that means, repeat steps 22 through 35 for the other eleven sections).

37. Circles 7, 17 and 20, and patterns 35 and 36, together, make up the constituent parts for the final reconstruction. All these parts are visible within the formation.
