Reconstruction of the
2001 Avebury Trusloe formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed hexagon (6-sided regular polygon) of circle 1, pointing to the right.

3. Construct the inscribed circle of hexagon 2.

4. Construct the circumscribed hexagon of circle 1, also pointing to the right.

5. Construct the circumscribed hexagon of hexagon 4, pointing up.

6. Construct the circumscribed hexagon of hexagon 5, again pointing to the right.

7. Construct the circumscribed circle of hexagon 6.

8. Extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines of circle 1 up to circle 7. Draw the other diagonals of hexagon 6.

9. Copy circle 7 to the intersection on the right of circle 3 and the horizontal centerline.

10. Repeat this for the intersections of circle 3 with the other rays of hexagon 6.

11. Cut off all parts of circles 9 and 10 outside the shown mutual intersections, such that six arcs remain.

12. Construct a circle, centered at the intersection on the right of circle 3 and the horizontal centerline (thus concentric to circle 9), passing through the intersections of the vertical centerline and hexagon 6.

13. Copy circle 12 to the intersections of circle 3 with the other rays of hexagon 6.

14. Cut off all parts of circles 12 and 13, except for the arcs between the indicated intersections of these circles and arcs 11.

15. Construct a circle, concentric to circle 1, passing through the common end-points of arcs 11.

16. Copy circle 1 to the shown intersection on the left of the horizontal centerline and arcs 11.

17. Copy circle 15 to the intersection on the right of circle 16 and the horizontal centerline.

18. Construct a circle, concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 17 at the far end.

19. Construct a circle, centered at the intersection on the right of circle 3 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to circle 18 at the near side.

20. Copy circle 19 to the intersection on the right of circle 15 and the horizontal centerline.

21. Construct a circle, concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 20 at the far end.

22. Circles 1, 18 and 21, and arcs 11 and 14 form all necessary parts for the reconstruction.

23. Removing all unused parts and making black areas corresponding to standing crop finish the reconstruction of the 2001 Avebury Trusloe formation.
